In collaboration with Drs. R. Muller and Dan Karner (U Cal. Berkeley), we are studying how the Iridium concentration in GISP2 ice varies along the ice core. This work is important in elucidating possible mechanisms for the observed changes in dust concentration over the past 120,000 years.

We are reviewing and developing new methods of laser-light scattering on polar ice (both theory and experiment).
