International Travel

This page provides information to international participants about the latest rules and regulations regarding travelling to the United States of America. Internatonal attendees often need an invitation letter from the conference organizers in order to obtain a visa to visit the US. If you need such a letter of invitation, please contact Philip Coppens. In order to compose and send your letter, we will need your document number, email address, and your complete mailing address.

  • Visa Information
Follow this link for visa information from the US Department of State. Note that the application for a visa from some countries might take an extended period of time, so please look into visa requirements as early as possible.

  • Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. Currently, 27 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program. The Department of Homeland Security requires all nationals and citizens of countries in the Visa Waiver Program to obtain a travel authorization prior to initiating travel to the United States. This authorization may be obtained online through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization.

  • US VISIT
Most foreign visitors to the U.S. will now have their fingers scanned, and a digital photograph will be taken at your port of entry. Use the link above to learn more.

We hope to see you in Santa Fe.
