Gee, should I mention some pieces? Miles Davis' 1959 Kind of Blue. It had Coltrane & Adderley ... (I seen 'em live in 1957 Boston). Unfortunately, Satie had difficulty making the recording session, he was delayed by Piet Mondrian, Aleister Crowley, and The Order of the Golden Dawn , according to Kenneth Patchen, listening to Scott Joplin do Bach. No wonder Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Robert Johnson, and James Brown all bought the devil's song ('cept for Leroy, I seen 'em live too).
